Exactly the same as with organic food, organic cotton is grown with no chemicals and pesticides. This has enormous long term benefits for both the environment and the farmers. The environment where the cotton is grown comes back to life, the soil improves, insect and bird life return.

The farmer no longer has to spend money on expensive chemicals and pesticides and thus the farmer’s families no longer have to risk sleeping in the same rooms as the chemicals or eating food that may have become contaminated having been grown next to the cotton.
